Could 'Jackass' Become an Oscar Nominee?

I just had an insane, radical thought.  Could Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa become an Oscar nominee for Best Makeup?

I keep seeing pictures of Johnny Knoxville dressed up as the title character, and it dawned on me that he was in a pretty elaborate design as the title character.  I mean, his makeup has to be convicing enough to fool strangers when he pulls all of his pranks, and the movie is a hit.  When it comes to the makeup branch (and others, mind you), they tend to not pay attention to the quality of the actual movie and focus on the craft.

You have some examples of prestige films winning in the category (Les Miserables from last year, for example), but Rick Baker has won 7 Oscars for work in blockbuster fare like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Nutty Professor, and Men in Black.  Remember when people had to include the phrase, "Academy Award Nominee..." before these titles:

The Academy loves some old age makeup--there's almost one every year.  They only nominate three films a year, but a lot of the time there is something up there because they slap some wrinkles and liver spots on a famous face.

If I'm right...
