What In The Name Of Bill Murray?!?!

What the what?!

When I saw a midnight show of Zombieland back in 2009, it was one of the most perfect moviegoing experiences of my life.  It was packed with stupid frat boys, and everyone had such a great time watching the movie.  I remember thinking that I left the theater getting exactly what I was looking promised.  I knew there were talks to do a sequel, and, thankfully, those talks died.  Amazon, however, decided to shit all over a pleasant stand alone film experience, and release a television series.

I am ridiculously mad about this development.  I saw the promotional material for the show a while back, and I think I just wanted to ignore it, but it was announced that all of Amazon's ambitious shows are available online.  Zombieland the show is EVERYWHERE!

The most troublesome thing about it is that they are using all the exact same characters from the movie.  They couldn't change the dynamic by writing new characters?  They even ripped off their own logo.  The show's look is really cheap and looks similar to one of those cheap mashup spoof movies like Epic Movie or Scary Movie 18

I want to double-tap this show in the head.  Ugh.

  1. I feel rather ambivalent about this. On the one hand, I loved Zombieland, on the other, this will probably suck.

Zombieland is one of those most perfect films, but I thought the trailer was silly. When I finally saw the film years ago, it was a pleasant surprise.

I feel like the TV series is just going to be like the Walking Dead only with laughs---which is basically the Walking Dead lately.
